Find Me at the North Grenville Public Library – February 29

If you are looking to pick up a book or just say hello, stop by the North Grenville Public Library on February 29! I will have copies of Nightface, Pray Lied Eve I and II as well as copies of the latest Wicked Library anthology! This is the Local Author Showcase event and will share space with 18 fellow writers. This includes many I’ve never met, and one of my favourites, Kate Heartfield.

There were very few reading spots, so I’ll be watching Kate read instead of reading myself. There will be a bustling vendors area making for a swift afternoon.

This comes very close to when most authors receive the Public Lending Right income for the year. If you have your books in Canadian libraries, as an author, the Arts Council feels you ought to be paid. This drives home the importance of having books on every shelf! I’ve been a huge fan and supporter of public libraries since I was learning to read so I was honoured to be invited to this event. There ought to be more like it!

You may recall when I would have a table at the Small Press Book Fair, which was always grand and I met a lot of readers there. Now I feel this event is a little more on the mark, so if you are looking to meet authors, hear talk about the craft, and pick up some books come on out.

See you then!
