Withered is a young adult hometown horror novel by Canadian author A.G.A Wilmot. The cover and summary of this book sounded so perfect to me! I checked to see if it was YA but it seemed to be a straight-up haunted house, haunted town, haunted past coming-of-age horror so I was sold. Lots of horror stories involving kids, teens, or coming of age aren’t YA books so I figured this would be a fit. When ECW asked if I wanted a review copy, I jumped on it, so thank you ECW!

After the tragic death of their father and surviving a life-threatening eating disorder, 18-year-old Ellis moves with their mother to the small town of Black Stone, seeking a simpler life and some space to recover.
