We’re deathly ill so, dear listeners it’s time to come home. It’s just as you left it. Antlers, books, crystals and Dead Air! On today’s she we discuss the 2019 film The Influence (La Influencia)

Alicia returns to help take care of her comatose mother. her, her husband and young daughter Nora, try to reconnect with Alicia’s sister and of course her estranged mother. Yet, the past comes back and the shared family trauma inflicted on the sisters begins to cause friction. Moreover, Nora has taken an unnatural obsession with her grandmother and every day becomes a darker version of herself. Alicia starts to see that her daughter is under the influence of their wicked mother. Their mother actively practiced the darkest magics. How far can her guilt allow her to look the other way? Even now, her mother’s cruel vengeance is as potent as it was all those years ago.
