Extreme Horror Haul ft. Edward Lee + January Reads

I’ve read a good amount of books so far in January and had some amazing book mail too! I did get a chance to finish Linghun by Ai Jiang, and have wrapped up Strange Stones, The Rising: Selected Scenes from the End of the World, Wake Up and Open Your Eyes, then jumped into The Ushers by Edward Lee, a short story collection by one of my most favourite extreme horror authors.

The Edward Lee book came from a shipment of books ordered from an amazing dealer and writer who is downsizing his collection – and there is more to come. I have a real soft spot for old Deadite Press books so there are a few of those, and maybe more Edward Lee eventually. For now, we have The Ushers, Dahmer’s Not Dead, Flesh Gothic, Brain Cheese Buffet, and White Trash Gothic 2. I swore I had White Trash Gothic so may have to find that one elsewhere,

On top of that, I did order We Used to Live Here by Marcus Kliewer which is what I am reading now. To round out my January reading I picked two mystery books off of the backward shelf to begin the reading challenge for the year as well.

If you are interested in extreme horror, there is more to come next week when I talk about the very cool ‘starter pack’ thread on reddit!

I talk horror books; extreme horror, classic, slasher, gothic, and everything in between. Helping you find the next best horror book to read is the goal, and sharing new and old horror from my shelves and new releases is how! Horror, nonfiction and even true crime can be found here as I find that human beings are the scariest thing of all.
