New December horror books • Chilly holiday haunts and more!

Horror takes a holiday in the winter – but then, don’t we all? Publishing agents, editors, bookbinders and print shops are no exception. Everything slows down in December, but we all still buy books. Sometimes many times more due to gifts! See all of the books I talk about today at https://typicalbooks.com/newhorror.

Books are my gift of choice, and it is not even a celebration of Jolabokaflod; just wanting to spread bookworm joy. Usually there are more winter horror and holiday themed books to choose from but 2024 is a little slim. It is a little slim all around, as not many horror books are coming out this December at all; but I found some real gems for us! We start with three x-massy books, and dig into some new standalones, new collections and some splatter westerns to see us off into the sunset.

Are you reading anything special this year? Maybe with so few new books coming out, we can read something a little different or choose some cozy favourites off the shelf. These will still make great gifts for the horror love in town, for sure!

As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases when you use Amazon links here. While I accept very limited and specific books for review from publishers, my reviews are honest, and I only accept books I’d have bought with my own money.

I talk horror books; extreme horror, classic, slasher, gothic, and everything in between. Helping you find the next best horror book to read is the goal, and sharing new and old horror from my shelves and new releases is how! Horror, nonfiction and even true crime can be found here as I find that human beings are the scariest thing of all.
